Join Joe Comeau and volunteers from the Vermont Astronomical Society for an exciting evening of star gazing. Learn the constellations of spring, summer, and fall on a guided tour of the dark skies. Green laser pointers will help participants identify locations of stars and planets. Come early, bring your own telescope or binoculars, and get help setting up. No experience necessary. Excellent family activity.

All-Day Writing Marathon
Oct 16 Saturday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
This course will give you a chance to explore your own mind through the writing process. This day of total immersion, what author Natalie Goldberg calls "writing practice," intends to honor your voice, silence your inner critic, and allow spontaneous thoughts to flow. Leave the censor at home; bring only a notebook, a fast-moving pen, and a willingness to dive in. There will be plenty of time to write and share your writing in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. And be sure to bring your lunch.
