DESCRIPTION:Gong Bath RelaxationDate/Time: July 7th & August 24th 7:00-8:00 pm\nLocations: Camp Ingalls\, 1769 South End Road\, North Hero.\nCost: FREE; donations appreciated to benefit Island Arts \nGong baths are essentially a sound massage for the body. The gong has been used as a powerful tool in helping to still the mind and relax the body for thousands of years. Participating in a gong bath consists of lying on a yoga mat or blanket and simply letting the sound waves of the gong wash over you. Gong baths are known to reduce stress and aid in the flow of emotions. There will be gentle movement and breathing exercises in preparation for the relaxation. \nPlease bring your own yoga mat or blanket. \nThe class will be taught by Kim Muncil\, a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor. She has taught yoga and provided Gong Baths for several years. She is a retired elementary teacher and spends her summers on Lake Champlain. \nOffered in collaboration with the North Hero Parks and Recreation. \nBACK TO ALL EVENTS

Hero\nTuition: $40 for all 3 classes or $15 for one class. Class fee includes 2 card kits per class. \nEnjoy Card Workshops taught by Pat Brennan. An Islander since 1969\, Pat has been giving card classes for five years. She will teach you basic card-making. \nAt your first class\, in addition to the class fee\, you will be required to buy a tool kit ($6) that includes a dispenser with double-sided tape\, glue dots\, sponge daubers\, and a little bling. \nPlease bring scissors if you have them. \nAt each class\, you will receive two card kits. Each will create a beautiful one-of-kind card with envelope\, a card likely to cost $5 or $6 in a store—if you could find one as nice! This is a great opportunity to have fun\, learn card-making\, and surprise friends and family with beautiful cards. \nEach class is unique and explores different techniques that widen your skills. SUMMARY:Storytelling Workshop with Ferene Paris Meyer
DESCRIPTION:This fall (2021)\, Island Arts in tandem with Full Circle Theater join hands to present an exciting theater program at the Island Arts Center\, the former Homer Knight Barn. Both workshops and shows are planned for this fall. \nStorytelling with Ferene Paris Meyer will be offered on Oct. 4 and 11 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Through guided prompts\, activities\, and creative approaches you will raise your artistic voice\, crafting and developing your own stories and monologues to be a force for change and human connection. This workshop requires some outside preparation and includes 2\, 15 minute private coaching sessions. Optional performance opportunity in our virtual Fall showcase. This workshop is offered for children ages 11 to 20. The cost is $150. Island Arts Scholarships available. \nMeyers developed All Heart Inspirations – as a space for heart-centered storytelling in Vermont.
