The Alexander String Quartet stands among the world’s premier ensembles, having performed in the major music capitals of five continents. The quartet has performed at Lincoln Center, the 92nd Street Y, the Metropolitan Museum, Jordan Hall, the Library of Congress, and appeared as guests at universities including Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Lewis & Clark, UCLA, St. Lawrence, and many more. Numerous overseas tours include the U.K., the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, France, Greece, the Republic of Georgia, Argentina, Panamá, and the Philippines. The quartet’s extensive recordings have won international critical acclaim.
This ensemble appears in South Hero on June 7. Experiencing an ensemble such as this up close—to see the sweat on their brows—is truly amazing. It is SO unlike the experience in a big concert hall. Not to be missed! The concert may sell out, so please consider getting your tickets now.
The program includes Haydn String Quartet in G major, Op. 77, No. 1; Tarik O’Regan Gradual; and Schubert String Quartet No. 14 in D minor “Death and the Maiden.” https://asq4.com/
