You will be making holiday ornaments from “Air-hardening Modeling Clay”, helped and instructed by Lucie Faulkner, an inventive Vermont resident who is always searching for new ways to be creative. This will be the beginning of a great adventure because you can then use this medium to create multiple different objects. 

You don’t need to bring anything; everything will be supplied, including paint to decorate your creations.
Just bring your friends and family to this 2-day interesting and useful workshop!

The instructor can communicate with you in English and French.

Experience the joy of creating your personal Shadow Box with a morning workshop taught by Pat Brennan. An Islander since 1969, Pat has been giving card and craft classes for over six years. She will teach you the layered technique of creating designs in a Shadow Box frame. At your first class, in addition to the class fee, you will be required to buy a tool kit ($7) that includes a dispenser with double-sided tape, glue dots, sponge daubers, and a little bling.

Please bring scissors if you have them.

You will receive one shadow box frame and the numerous cut-out layers to build your art piece. The kit will create a beautiful one-of-kind work of art, ready to hang, a work likely to cost $50 plus in a gallery—if you could find one as nice! This is a great opportunity to have fun, learn a new craft, and surprise friends and family with beautiful hanging artwork.

Class fee includes 1 frame and image content per class.

“The Mud Creek WMA in Alburgh is one of Vermont’s premier birding spots. It might be a bit off the beaten path for many of us, but it’s well worth the trip. Vermont eBird shows that the Mud Creek WMA “hotspot” has 173 species reported as of 2023. Some sought-after species are Virginia Rail, Sora, and Least Bittern.” – Bruce McPherson, Green MT Bird Alliance

A Shared Talk: A Journey of Spiritual and Personal Growth

Join two friends, Bob Muncil and Tim Carney, as they share their heartfelt stories of addiction, recovery, and their paths toward spiritual and personal transformation. Through honesty, humility, and lived experience, they reflect on the struggles and the practices that helped them move forward from addiction and all that goes with it, to greater awareness, compassion, purpose and joy.

Together, they will speak about the power of connection, the role of spirituality in recovery, and the daily choices that support a life of balance and growth. Their message is one of hope, resilience, and the possibility of change. Whether you struggle with addiction or not, this shared talk will inspire you. All are welcome.

Yin Yoga is a contemplative practice that targets the connective tissues of the body such as tendons, ligaments, and the deep fascia network. This practice consists of going into a pose, finding stillness, and then connecting to the breath while holding the pose for 3-4 minutes.  Most poses are seated poses similar to stretching poses. This is a great practice for people with an active mind as well as an active body.  If you are new to yoga this is a wonderful place to start.

Bob is a certified Yin Yoga and meditation instructor. No experience necessary.  No registration required. Just drop in. A limited number of mats will be available for use.
