Sylvia offers a solo piano recital of beloved shorter classical music (including some jazzy numbers) by composers that include Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Bartok, George Gershwin, and Scott Joplin.
A long time University of Vermont music professor and concert pianist (now retired), Sylvia enjoys spending the summer here in the Champlain Islands. Island Arts is delighted to showcase her musical talents for the first time in this concert.
Sylvia will play a Yamaha C7 concert grand piano provided through the courtesy of the Vermont Youth Orchestra Association. Island Arts is most grateful for their support.
